A fascinating, rare hour-long interview with Alfred Hitchcock on Tomorrow with Tom Snyder. The interview originally aired in the fall of 1973, when Hitchcock was in his 70’s. He appears a quiet, rather strange man with extremely strong convictions. Only later in the interview (~ part 5) do we begin to see the man that created so many distinct and memorable horror films.
They also briefly touch on the influence of mass media on the general public. This was 1973 – I wonder what they would be saying if this interview happened today.
The rest of them: Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5 and Part 6.
